KIZOBAZOBA fashion performance show, Cologne Nov. 2018.
A nice change from the traditional catwalk!
So much work in the last few months so I am just catching up with all my backdated blog posts.
This was a great gig in collaboration with the Rheinbahn Dusseldorf and Communication Design students at the amd. Shooting was held outside in the bus terminal, almost wore my fur it was that cold. I even got a chance to makeup the bus drivers. ’not too much powder‘, one rather nervous driver told me.
Another editorial, this time with Promo Magazine with the lovely Hannah Sophie ( model). I did my favourite messy up-do with loose curls and used a new colour by MAC, a soft bronze on the top lash line for a real romantic look. Ivani Ngp worked the magic behind the camera and Aleks Petrovic’s styling completed our shoot!
Wow, what a smoking picture! Ironically, it was such a hot day shooting at an abandoned petrol station ‚ Beatnik Rebel‘, by designer Aleks Petrovic. Meike Schurings from Model Raum was a pure profi!! Beatrice Arent, the photographer got bit by a bee, and cut her knee on a piece of glass. And I almost melted. But we all survived… the show must go on.
All makeup artists love when a photographer and stylist give us the freedom to really be creative. So when I got the chance, I channeled Mozart for this shoot. Imagining him up all night working on a piece of music. The orange eyes represent the tiredness and the hair.. well what can I say? Never went to bed hair, madness trying to find that right note. More pictures of the shooting here.
What does a makeup artist ask women in the middle of a South African safari? Of course, their beauty secrets. Not all was told to me but here is the best insider tip.
Lorraine told me she uses ‚ Black Opal‘ – a perfect finishing powder.
Promise swears by good old fashioned ‚ Ponds moisturizer.
Combined with sun, astonishing nature and a happy outlook on life!
What an exciting shoot with such creative people. I not only did makeup but hair as well! They liked our work… thanks to Ellements Magazine for publishing Shirin and Amelie’s vision. You made my day!
